The Triathlife “Connection”
First question - What is The Triathlife?
In the spirit of transparency, The Triathlife is just me for now. It’s an idea and this first “Connection” is my leaping off point. But this is what I aspire to make The Triathlife:
A vibrant community of midlife individuals united by a commitment to fun, fitness, and embracing new challenges without judgment. Through supportive camaraderie, we inspire each other to train, to race and to thrive in mind, body and soul.
This isn’t a club (errr…maybe club adjacent).
This isn’t a coaching service.
Put simply: The Triathlife is about creating meaningful midlife connections through sport.
That is my north star. But getting there is going to be kinda messy. Building the plane as I fly so to speak. I was prompted to start all of this after a recent series of life events. But honestly, The Triathlife has been 16 years in the making (more on that in subsequent “Connections”).
Second question - What is The Triathlife “Connection”
Well, it’s not a newsletter…and it’s not a blog (actually…The Triathlife started as a blog…more on that in future “Connections”). Right now The Triathlife exists on Instagram and I needed a longer form platform and place to ground The Triathlife and give it a place where we can communicate. This platform just seemed to make the most sense for now (thanks to the fine folks at beehiiv).
The call to action.
That headline was misleading since I don’t have a passion pitch or call to action at the moment. And as they say, perfect is the enemy of good (or as one of my favorite clients used to say…f*ck it, ship it) and I really want to light this candle. So I will simply ask you to give The Triathlife a follow on Instagram (@thetriathlife) and subscribe to The Triathlife “Connection” (The Connection or TTC) for a little bit of triathlon, a little bit of general fitness and a little bit of what it all means to midlifers.
